XIII INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON FOREIGN LANGUAGES, COMMUNICATION, AND CULTURE

DATES: APRIL 24 – 26, 2019
WHERE: HOLGUÍN, CUBA

OBJECTIVE

The Organizing Committee invites established academics and early-career scholars as well as students, to submit proposals for keynotes, individual papers, posters, panels, round tables, workshops and for symposia are welcome. The conference will foster international cooperation by providing an opportunity to examine and share the state-of-the-art research and best practices in the field of applied linguistics as well as in Canadian Studies.

SUBMISSION & DEADLINES

Participants are invited to submit proposals in various modalities. Please note the time limit for each type of presentation where appropriate:

• Keynotes (45 min.)
• Papers (20 min.)
• Panel, Round tables (1 hr)
• Posters and exhibitions.
• Pre-Post Workshops (4 hrs.)

FORMAT

Title in 15 words or less, capital letters.
Abstract: in less than 250 words including problem, objective, methodology and results + 3-5 key words.
Full paper: Papers presented will be submitted to a blind review process using standardized criteria by external readers for inclusion in the Conference Proceedings 6-10 pages. (to participate it is not mandatory to submit paper for publication). Arial 10 points, 1.5 space, margins: upper and bottom 2.5 cms.; right and left, 3 cms.; letter format, Word processor MSWord/OpenOffice. References following APA 2016, citation index.

Abstracts: February 15, 2019
Notification of acceptance: February 28, 2019
Full paper (for publication): March 15, 2019

LANGUAGES

Presentations can be given in Spanish, English or French. Portuguese is also accepted. The proposal should be submitted in the language that it will be presented. Proposals submitted in languages other than Spanish, a summary in Spanish should be included. Proposals submitted in Spanish, French or Portuguese, a summary in English should be included.

Interpretation from Spanish to English will be provided in plenary sessions only.
