The Convention has two goals: (1) To achieve an exchange of knowledge, experiences, and scientific research; (2) To explore strategies and management of and for collaborative actions. The Convention will focus on the thematic axes suggested within the framework of the 2030 UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as its point of departure for discussion for its 11 workshops and symposia.

This year, each workshop will offer a pre-conference course either online or in-person. Delegates are free to choose any pre-conference course from any of the workshops of the Scientific Convention.
Online pre-conference courses will be held on the Eventos UCf platform and be held the week of October 16, 2023. The online pre-conference course will cost $20 USD.
In-person pre-conference courses will be held on the campus of La Universidad de Cienfuegos on October 25, 2023. Pre-conference courses will cost $30 USD. Online courses are available to in-person delegates at no cost.
Pre-conference courses will be available beginning September 10. Delegates can register independently on the platform with their personal e-mail address.
The Scientific Committee of each workshop will select the best proposals and presentation experiences for adaptation in one of the University’s various scientific journals, including Universidad y Sociedad, the scientific journal of la Universidad de Cienfuegos. (ISSN Number: 2218-3620)
The journal, “Universidad y Sociedad” (RUS), started in 2008 in its electronic form with the aim of promoting the exchange in areas of social, humanistic, economic, technical and others sciences with an interdisciplinary character and it is integrated nationally and internationally.
The Journal dedicates at least eighty percent (80%) of each edition to the publication of original articles; and the rest to issues related to the dissemination of science and innovation. Journal articles are indexed and can be found on Scopus.

Commission presentations should be at least 10 minutes long with a maximum of 15 minutes. There will be live summary interpretation during your presentation. Presentation slides should be submitted in either PowerPoint or PDF format. We request that you use the provided PowerPoint template or image overlay for your presentation. Slides can be written in English, Spanish, or both. Any accompanying handouts should be submitted in a PDF format and should be in both English and Spanish. Each presentation is limited to 20 minutes, but 5-10 minutes of that time will be taken up by the interpreter.
The II International Scientific Convention will be managed from the UCf Events platform of the University of Cienfuegos, accessible at https://eventos.ucf.edu.cu, where you must register as a user. The reception of abstracts and papers will be available from June 1st, 2023.
The Pre-Event Courses will be managed on the event’s platform and will be available from September 11th. After that date, registration will be processed directly with the course coordinator. Participants will be authenticated on the platform with their personal event account.
Posters should have dimensions of no more than 1.20 meters (4 feet) vertical x 0.82 meters (3 feet) horizonal. Posters must contain: Title of the research, authors’ data (names and surnames, institutional affiliation, e-mail, country), an abstract, justification, general objective, theoretical approach, methodology and results of the research. Posters can be in English, Spanish, or both.
Files should be in an mp4 format, between 5-10 minutes in length. They must contain: Title of the research, Author’s data (names and surnames, institutional affiliation, e-mail, country)
