The People-to-People Trip For Study Abroad is your ticket to the 1st Annual Workshop for the Internationalization of Higher Education (TIES 2015). We have partnered with La Universidad de Cienfuegos to bring you this one-of-a-kind opportunity to get to know UCf, forge new relationships with your Cuban counterparts and meet other international partners who can share with you their experiences in Cuba.
Known as “La Perla Del Sur”, Cienfuegos is a vibrant city full of charm that is authentically Cuban. Removed from the congestion of the capital, it is rich in history, culture and diversity. Once you set foot here, you will see right away why the Lonely Planet Guide says “if Cuba has a Paris, this is most definitely it.”
In addition, we will travel to Havana. Here, you will get a proper orientation on the city and its history. We will stay at one of Havana’s most iconic hotels and witness the “socio-economic update” in action by frequenting some of the private establishments of the “new economy”. We will also visit La Universidad de la Habana, one of the oldest universities of the New World.
This is People-To-People trip to Cienfuegos and Havana, Cuba is open to administrators, professors, researchers, students, and anyone with a professional interest in study abroad and internationalization at the post-secondary level.
This is a people-to-people trip covered under general license as per 31 CFR §515.565(b) the United States Department of Treasury’s Office of Foreign Assets Control. Civitas Global Educational Services is a licensed provider of people-to-people travel. (License No. CT-2014-312375-1)
