GO ABROAD: BROADEN YOUR COMMUNITY
CUBA
In the 60 years since the Revolution, Cuba has extended education to every corner of the island and virtually eradicated illiteracy. As a result, more than half of its population holds at least a bachelor’s degree or higher.
Today, Cuba is and has long been a place for US students and faculty to engage in meaningful international education and cultural learning. Our exchanges with our Cuban partners, colleagues, and community has been profoundly positive and formative learning experiences.
Although the current relationship between Cuba and the US remains tenuous, the last decade gave us significant steps towards normal diplomatic relations. Civitas GES maintains our relationships with Cuban institutions and community organizations.
