Welcome Dayana Núñez Abreu: The Newest Member of the Civitas GES Team

We are thrilled to announce that Dayana Núñez Abreu has joined the Civitas GES team as our newest Resident guide and interpreter in Cienfuegos. Dayana brings extensive experience and a deep passion for the intersection of exploration and education that will enhance our programming and the experiences of our One Community.

Dayana has been a dedicated guide and interpreter, showcasing her knowledge and enthusiasm for the cultural and historical treasures of Cuba. Her role as a student and professor at the University of Cienfuegos during the first two editions of Cuba TIES further solidified her expertise.

Before joining Civitas GES, Dayana worked as a sales promoter and tour guide for the Cuban Tour Agency, Cubatur. She was responsible for sharing vital information and attracting tourism to various regional destinations and led English-speaking ecotourism groups through Cienfuegos. Additionally, she served as a Public Relations Officer and docent for the Tomas Terry Theater, sharing its rich history with international groups.

Dayana holds a bachelor’s degree in English and French from the University of Cienfuegos and trained as a cruise line Tour Guide by the International Maritime Organization (OMI). She has also worked as a Foreign Language professor at La Universidad de Cienfuegos and the Tourism School.

We are confident that Dayana’s experience in academia as a student and professor along with her enthusiasm will make a significant impact on our Civitas GES team. Join us in welcoming Dayana Núñez Abreu and stay tuned for the experiences she will help us provide.
