La Universidad del Golfo de California (UGC) and Civitas GES would like to invite you to Cabo San Lucas Mexico to participate in “The Mexican Kitchen Experience”, a workshop for the development of the Mexican culinary arts. This workshop will take place on campus and in the resorts and hotels of Cabo San Lucas.
UGC will be opening its doors twice this semester to host this unique program. The next program will be held from April 7 to 13, 2019.
Professor-Chef José Luis Álvarez Nevárez will lead you on a journey that will connect the culture to the cuisines of six Mexican regions.
You will also get to enjoy and explore the area of Cabo San Lucas and learn first-hand why it is one of the most visited vacation destinations in the world.

This program is for students, professors, chefs and anyone with an interest to learn the cuisine of six Mexican regions: Yucatán, Oaxaca, Puebla, Estado de Mexico, Baja California Sur and Jalisco.
UGC is strongly interested in developing a collaborative relationship with other universities. We invite senior international officers, professors or other administrators with an interest in developing a mutually beneficial relationship.
This 25-hour course will be “theoretical-practical”, where the Professor-Chef will present on each region, its geographical location, culture, and of course its typical cuisine. He will demonstrate the creation of dishes in each region and the participants will have the opportunity to create those same dishes.
Professor-Chef Álvarez will provide a bibliography at each class.
