People-to-People Trip to Cuba is Here!

We are pleased to announce that we have partnered with the University of Cienfuegos Carlos Rafael Rodriguez who will be hosting the 1st Annual Workshop for the Internationalization of Higher Education. The event is open to college administrators, professors and students. The workshop will be held on campus and at historic locations around the city of Cienfuegos, Cuba from May 19 -22, 2015. The Workshop is an integral part of a people-to-people trip to Cuba taking place from May 16 – May 23.

Known as the “Perla Del Sur” or “Pearl of the South”, Cienfuegos is about 150 miles (240 km) from Havana. The city was originally settled by French and Louisiana colonists in 1819. Its historic downtown was declared a UNESCO World Heritage site in 2005. The city is rivaled only by the natural beauty that surrounds it. Cienfuegos is the ideal setting for a study abroad program in an authentic and uniquely Cuban location away from the congestion of the capital. For most Americans, it is an undiscovered gem.
