ROBERTO POVEDA

Roberto Poveda: Filmmaker, educator, and accomplished singer-songwriter. Director/editor of short films and documentaries. Recipient of Brooklyn Arts Council grant for Local Arts (2019) and Brooklyn Arts Fund (2016). Currently in post-production Regreso a La Raíz (Back to the Roots), a documentary exploring the experience of returning immigrants to the places they grew up prior to relocating elsewhere. Poveda teaches Introduction to Puerto Rican and Latino Studies at Brooklyn College since 2017.
