III INTERNATIONAL WORKSHOP ON SPORT, PHYSICAL ACTIVITY AND HUMAN DEVELOPMENT

The Faculty of Sports Sciences and Physical Culture of the University of Granma convenes the 3rd International Workshop of Sport, Physical Activity and Human Development. The workshop will center on the impact of sports, physical education, recreation, and therapeutic and prophylactic physical culture on local development.

Potential topics for the Workshop will include but are not be limited to:

  • Community physical activity and recreation as a means for human development
  • Adapting physical activity to diverse populations as a means of promoting health, rehabilitation and quality of life
  • Physical education, its didactic components and contemporary pedagogical trends
  • Recreation and sports for all as a means of physical education for human development
  • The sports selection process and its influence on local human development
  • The integral preparation of the athlete and applied sciences
  • The continual formation of the physical culture professional and his influence on local human development
  • Sport and the environment and its influence on local human development
  • Gender, values in physical activity and its influence on local human development

Proposals for all papers and virtual posters are due by July 20, 2021.

All potential participants should complete both the online attendance and proposal forms. All potential presenters should submit an abstract of no more than 200 words with a title of no more than 15 words. Proposals should be a .PDF format document, in 12-point Arial font, 1.5 space, with 1 inch margins all-around (2.5cm). All citations should follow APA guidelines.

Once your paper proposal is approved, the presenter(s) should be prepared to submit a PowerPoint presentation or equivalent. Presenter(s) should also submit a video recording not to exceed five minutes and a maximum size of 25MB with an explanation of the presentation’s main ideas. The video will be used in the event that the presentation needs to be shared asynchronously.
