III INTERNATIONAL WORKSHOP FOR DEVELOPMENT OF EDUCATION AND PEDAGOGY

The Fausto Santisteban Pons Education Studies Center (CEdEG), of the Faculty of Basic Education (FEB) of the University of Granma convenes and organizes the III International Workshop for Development of Education and. It has its genesis in the three Regional Education Symposiums developed between 2011 and 2015 from the Granma Pedagogical University, all with foreign participation. Previous rounds of the Workshop included sessions of the Higher and Distance Education Workshop. Previous workshops have included international participation from Mexico, Angola, Colombia, Venezuela, Ecuador, the United States, Brazil, among others. This participation has led to international collaborative agreements and other letters of intent, most recently with Ecuador and Peru.

Potential topics for this year’s Workshop will include but are not be limited to:

  • Educational experiences in the time of COVID-19
  • Didactics and Curriculum of Higher Education
  • The 21st century university – Challenges and perspectives
  • Pedagogical research and innovation in educational institutions
  • Didactics of mother tongues and foreign languages
  • Rural and mountain education
  • Motivation and professional guidance
  • Curriculum Strategies for Environmental and Health Education
  • Ethics and values
  • Education and ICT
  • School – Family – Community links for local development

Proposals for all papers and virtual posters are due by July 20, 2021.

All potential participants should complete both the online attendance and proposal forms. All potential presenters should submit an abstract of no more than 200 words with a title of no more than 15 words. Proposals should be a .PDF format document, in 12-point Arial font, 1.5 space, with 1 inch margins all-around (2.5cm). All citations should follow APA guidelines.

Once your paper proposal is approved, the presenter(s) should be prepared to submit a PowerPoint presentation or equivalent. Presenter(s) should also submit a video recording not to exceed five minutes and a maximum size of 25MB with an explanation of the presentation’s main ideas. The video will be used in the event that the presentation needs to be shared asynchronously.
