Coordinated by the Studies Center for Management and Local Development (CEDDEL) of the University of Granma, this is the central workshop of the Cuban Congress of Local Development. It is supported by the CEDDEL inter-agency cooperation network at the national and international levels and serves as a space for exchange and academic debate on contemporary issues of local (community) development and its management. This workshop achieves an average of more than 100 face-to-face participants, including foreign participation by more than 10 countries, academics from all over Cuba, as well as governmental and enterprise managers and specialists from all over Granma. The workshop usually brings together national and international academic leaders, UNDP representatives, and other development aid agencies and organizations around its central theme. Within the framework of the workshop, international agreements have been signed with countries such as Germany, Argentina, Brazil, Colombia and Mexico, as well as some academic networks of cooperation.

Proposals for all papers and virtual posters are due by July 20, 2021.
All potential participants should complete both the online attendance and proposal forms. All potential presenters should submit an abstract of no more than 200 words with a title of no more than 15 words. Proposals should be a .PDF format document, in 12-point Arial font, 1.5 space, with 1 inch margins all-around (2.5cm). All citations should follow APA guidelines.
Once your paper proposal is approved, the presenter(s) should be prepared to submit a PowerPoint presentation or equivalent. Presenter(s) should also submit a video recording not to exceed five minutes and a maximum size of 25MB with an explanation of the presentation’s main ideas. The video will be used in the event that the presentation needs to be shared asynchronously.
