About the Cultural Center for the Arts Benny More
The Cultural Center for the Arts Benny More (CCBM) is a non-governmental community organization founded in 2015 with 3 goals:
- To preserve the history, cultural heritage and the legacy of Cuban music icon, Benny More.
- To preserve the history, cultural heritage and the legacy of the musical, visual, theatrical and cinematic arts of the city of Cienfuegos
- To serve as a venue for engagement and extension between the Cienfuegos and the international community
CCBM achieves these goals by engaging in a series of wide ranging activities. The Center serves as an art gallery, a rehearsal and performance space. Musical acts from the province can be found rehearsing or performing throughout the week. The center has a monthly interview series with Cuban artists, intellectuals and aficionados. Executive Director Carlos Diaz and the staff of CCBM encourage and organize a wide range of events from community outreach to international collaborations and cultural exchanges.
